Monchegorsk Ecopark was established in 2003 in order to preserve the natural green areas in the city thanks to teachers and students of Children’s ecological center of Monchegorsk and by residents who love their city.
The Ecopark provides the organization of activities for children, adolescents and adults in the following areas: ecological and biological, tourism, local history.
Ecopark developed botanical, natural history, environmental, ethnographic educational routes, organized informative and entertaining theatrical programs, family events and excursions.
In the future, the organization of workshops on the preparation of the young guides, conducting training seminars for teachers on the organization of teaching and research activities and ecological and biological study of local lore direction will be planned.
