Monument to the border guards of the Arctic has been established in the park at the Regional Drama Theater 26 May 2013, on the eve of the 95th anniversary of the Border Guard and the 75th anniversary of the Murmansk region, which owes much to it guards the borders. It symbolizes the northern cliff on which stands the legendary border post – frontier of the Russian-Finnish border, which could not overcome the fascist troops. Around it is a sculpture representing different kind of border troops: land, sea and air. next to them – soldier loyal friend, the dog. The author of the composition was the honored sculptor Ivan Melnikov Russian.
