Square at the Regional Drama Theatre, where a monument to the border guards of the Arctic.

Monument to the border guards of the Arctic was established May 26, 2013, on the eve of the 95th anniversary of the Border Guard and the 75th anniversary of the Murmansk region, which owes much to it guards the borders. The monument symbolizes the northern cliff on which stands the border post – frontier of the Russian-Finnish border, which could not overcome the fascist troops. Around it is a sculpture representing different kind of border troops: land, sea and air, and a soldier loyal friend, the dog. The author of the composition was the honored sculptor Ivan Melnikov Russian.
