From 20 to 21 August, a trip of our tourists under the guided tour 2 days on Solovetsky Islands.

On the first day of 08.20.2016 we visited an interesting sightseeing tour of the pearl Solovki – Solovetsky Kremlin, where he learned a lot of facts in its history, visited the territory of the central complex of the Monastery of operating temples, objects of economic activities of the monastery, the monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

We also witnessed the friendly football match between students of the Solovetsky Islands and the team “Stars of Russia”, it included, including the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medina, State Duma deputy boxer Nikolai Valuev and Governor of Arkhangelsk region Igor Orlov. Before the game, the athletes welcomed the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, who arrived at the meeting on the development of the Solovetsky archipelago.

The day ended with a fascinating walking tour of “Cape mazes” in the scenic coast of the White Sea, where tourists have seen “dancing” Solovki birches and “Labyrinth” – spiral stone laying, a cultural monument of prehistoric civilizations.

The second day was just as eventful. After breakfast, our group has become a participant a unique service, which conducted the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill during his visit to the Solovetsky Islands. Patriarch Kirill consecrates restored in Solovki – Holy Trinity Cathedral. The liturgy lasted more than 3 hours.

In the afternoon, the Torah of the tourists went on a bus tour “Mountain Sekirnaya. Holy Ascension monastery. ” The group visited one of the highest points of the Bolshoi Solovetsky Island – Mount Sekirnaya, from the top of which offers an unforgettable view of the northern part of the Big Solovetsky Island and the White Sea, and discover the history and monuments of the Holy Ascension monastery, where at the time of the Solovki camp was a punishment cell – place of detention and prison sentence. And then we visited one of the northernmost botanical gardens Russia, which is located in the former Makarevskoy desert, met with the monuments, unique plantings of different periods in the history of the Solovetsky Islands.
Another group went on a sea voyage on a boat on the Big Island Zayatsky. On the island we visited the largest pagan temple II-I millennium BC, unique stone labyrinths, complex of religious and funerary structures, Church of St. Andrew, the first in Russia stone harbor and monuments of St. Andrew’s Skete.
