Khibinogorsk convent

Khibinogorsk convent was opened in 2005 and experiencing now with the most initial stage of its development. There are several novices. There is no another nuns, except Mother Abbess, yet. The monastery operates well-maintained temple and monastery has its own priest. Divine Liturgy are daily.

Khibinogorsk convent named in honor of Our Lady of Kazan. It is considered the most northern convent in the world and aims to spread the tradition of female piety in our rough edges.

It should be noted that there is very few nunneries in Russia, and only two of these monastery are located above the Arctic Circle – Khibinogorsk and Monastery of Pechora.

The monastery is located away from the city center in an abandoned block, but you can reach it easily by public transport or taxi.
