Sports-ethnic game “Koampal yyy” will be held December 22 at the base of the History Museum of the city of Monchegorsk. It means “polar night” translated from the Sami language.
This year, the sports will be held in the format of a family holiday. Everyone will be able to test their strength in the fight against Sami, Sami play football, check your skill and accuracy, as well as learn about the history, culture and customs of the Sami people, to hear the national artists and to participate in the dance of unity.
Games organizers are NGO “Monchegorsk city national-cultural autonomy of the Sami indigenous minority” gobu “Center of the North” and the History Museum of the city of Monchegorsk.
