The President of Russia has held a working meeting with the CEO of “Aeroflot-Russian Airlines” Vitaly Savelyev.
Aeroflot will be 100 years old in 2023.
Vitaly Savelyev: “We want to increase a transit stream from Southeast Asia, it is a task, rather serious for us, too, and we really are able to do it. For this purpose the regional gateway is just necessary. And according to May Decrees where you have paid attention to development of transportation capacities in a midland of Russia, we suggest to choose four basic points, one of which will be a gateway what I want to tell you too about…”
On transportation of passengers in 2009 we were on the 68th place in the world, we the 19th now what I have told about. In Europe we were the 15th, we the 5th, apart from two low-costers, Ryanair and EasyJet now, these are other projects. Therefore we now the 5th in Europe.
