Semyonovskoe lake – Lake in the Leninsky district in the northern part of the city of Murmansk.

Lake Name in legend comes from the name of the fisherman Semen Korzhov (or Korzhnova), who lived on the shore of the Kola Bay Cape Verde – the hill on which the body of water – there was a hut old fisherman Seeds Korzhneva (or Korzhnova).

On the lake are located Cultural Park Complex O.P. Naydenova with amusement park and boat station, Murmansk Regional Centre for Development of Children and Youth “Lapland”, Murmansk oceanarium, Murmansk Company walrus through the prospectus Heroes Severomortsev Fleet is a children’s playground.

Near the lake is the Memorial to “Defenders of the Soviet Arctic during the Great Patriotic War”, as well as a geological monument of nature geomorphological type of federal rank – Lamb forehead – is a granite outcropping Archean age in the form of asymmetrical rounded convex protrusion.

Around Semenovskoe lake there are three-dimensional shapes, composition of children’s toys – teddy bear, flower and ball – made of metal frame and covered with artificial grass, simulating cropped lawn, symbolizing the happy childhood of northerners, who grew up in Murmansk.
