The Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors Russian is located in Apatity, Murmansk region, at the intersection of Lenin and Soldiers-internationalists streets. The idea to build a temple there was in 2000 at the Archpriest Basil, who at the time served in the Holy Dormition temple. Since then it began documenting the arrival, and after five years began and construction of the monastery. Funds for the construction brought locals and isolated industrial enterprises in the city. Building of temple was funished in record time – it was ready in 2008.
The building of the Church of the New Russian Martyrs and Confessors entirely consists of wood, which reaches a height of 30 meters. Installed it on a large stone, it is the highest place in these parts. Above the roof rises five domes with six-pointed cross. Domes were produced in Chelyabinsk. Belfry was attached to the temple and it includes five bells, sent from Voronezh. Local artists were painted icons.
Currently, the church New Russian Martyrs and Confessors in Apatity in the Murmansk region is open and is actively functioning.
