Murmansk. 100 years – 100 winters

On October 5, 2018, the opening of the photo exhibition “Murmansk. 100 years – 100 winters. To be continued … ” prepared for the City Day.

The idea of ​​holding a photo contest “Murmansk. 100 years – 100 winters” belongs to the inhabitants of the polar capital. Initially, the photo project was dedicated to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Hero-City of Murmansk and received active support from the city authorities and the newspaper Vecherny Murmansk, to which the participants sent their photos.

Professionals and amateur photographers could take part in the competition, in whose work the beloved city has a special place. Dozens of pictures were published on the pages of the newspaper. The best of them became the decoration of the photo exhibition in the city’s Exhibition Hall on the 2nd floor of the Arktika Business Center.

Later, the participants and prize-winners of 2016 had the idea to make a photo project traditional and again to give the residents of Murmansk and visitors of the city the opportunity to see photos filled with sincere love for their small homeland.

In 2018, the project was named “Murmansk. 100 years – 100 winters. To be continued … ”The exhibition includes works by seven authors: Mikhail Abroskin, Olga Zasukhina, Natalia Kuzminykh, Nikolai Seryogin, Roman Sorvin, Xenia Popova and Oleg Filonok

The exhibition will run from 02 to 31 October 2018.
